GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
Spela in Wae Rebo, Flores – playing with the local kids.
Traveling and experiencing different levels of comfort is what first enriched Špela’s heart and mind. It was the radiant smiles of carefree children, conversations that transcended language, and lessons learned far beyond the pages of schoolbooks that inspired her to live differently.
Špela is devoted to remembering what truly matters in life—and to walking with an open heart. Her vision is to help bring the world closer to racial and gender equality, access to free and quality education, adequate healthcare, and the empowerment of all people to pursue their wildest dreams.
This is why she chooses to connect deeply with local communities wherever she goes, giving back a portion of Solspel’s earnings in the form of food, medicine, school supplies, and clothing.
Some of the meaningful Solspel projects include:
– Volunteering as an English teacher in Lombok, Indonesia
– Supporting street dog care in South Lombok
– Donating school supplies and hygiene products to families in Siargao, Philippines
– Providing food and care items to an orphanage in Timor, Indonesia
Some of our projects
We volunteered in teaching English to local children of Tetebatu in Lombok. We also raised some money for their school supplies, clothes and shoes.
10% from our January and February profits we donated to Lombok Plastic Free Foundation, which helped the local community with the devastating flood damage.
We volunteered and helped with spaying of the local dogs in a small fishing village Gerupuk in the South of Lombok. With donations from March profits, we sponsored one dog.
